Former 2nd Grade Teacher in Catholic School
This is a great program in my opinion, and should be in every school. It teaches respect and proper interaction with others. The personality traits covered in the subject matter are something society really needs, and this is a great way to teach it. Not every child will get it, but if 20% do, it could change the world. The kids love the bear and the handouts. This program could reduce teasing and bullying as the children grow older, we will see.

I did not get to see the actual presentation, but as a former speech therapist and now as the Director of Development at Central, I am very grateful for programs like yours. It is so important for educators and students alike to recognize that every child is unique with his/her own strengths and weaknesses and individual learning styles. Trooper Bear is great way to communicate how we are all different as well as define the importance of appreciating those differences. We need to embrace our differences and provide classrooms that reinforce that. Our children deserve the opportunity to feel safe, loved, and cherished.
