Two NFL Stars Commit to Help Promote Trooper Bear Classroom Program

Two NFL players have committed to help expand the Trooper Bear Classroom Program to more schools by throwing their names and support behind the Trooper Bear Program.

Jovan Haye had Dyslexia as a child and was bullied and teased because he couldn’t keep up in school. But later in school Jovan was diagnosed with Dyslexia and received help to overcome this disability. Once this barrier was removed Jovan’s real intellect shined bright.

He actually graduated from high-school with honors and went on to graduate from Vanderbilt. But he never fogot how hurtful it was to be teased for his disability. Jovan has even written a book titled “Bigger Than Me”, about how his disability impacted his early life. Click the book to order it from Amazon.

Jovan had a successful NFL career that spanned from 2005 to 2011 as a full-time starter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tennessee Titans. Jovan has embarked on the next chapter of his life. Now retired from football, he has become an entrepreneur, businessman, and investor. And now a Trooper.

Raymond Berry was a favorite receiver of Johnny Unitas of the Baltimore Colts from 1955 to 1967 and played in what is called the “Greatest Football Game Ever Played” againt the NY Giants for the 1958 NFL Championship. Raymond was also the coach of the New England Patriots and took that team to the Super Bowl XX in 1985.

Berry was named to the list of the “Best 100 Football Players of All Time”. Now Raymond has another achievment to add to his long list, being a founding Trooper with the Trooper Bear Program.

Raymond and Javon will be making public appearances for Trooper Bear to meet the children during the Trooper Bear presentations. These NFL stars also hope to help bring out the press when Trooper Bear is appearning at elementary schools, so more area schools find out about the Trooper Bear Program. They will also appear in the video teaching materals teachers use during their classroom sessions on the Trooper Bear Program.

Mission Statement

To offer a classroom education program for chidren age 4 to 9 to teach them how to relate, respect, understand and interact with people with physical disabilities or learning disabilities.

In addition to this mission:

We discuss proper etiquette, how and when to offer their help to any person who appears to need help in a public setting.

We cover teasing, bullying and other inappropriate behavior in school and what they should do about it.

The program should be launched with an actor in the Trooper Bear costume. We provide a script manual for any volunteer who wants to play the roll of Trooper Bear in the classroom.

Children enjoy the message delivered in the coloring books and the free Trooper Bear they get to keep at home.

Pushing Trooper Bear can be a reward, or they can take the bear to the lunchroom. Some schools even let the bear and chair go home, and ask the student to write a short story about what happened with Trooper Bear
